I`m sitting here wondering which of this two sketches turn into a paint and seriously I can´t decide!

so, this is the deal:

I`ve been painting this colorfull faces once and again and I`m really happy with the pieces I`m bringing out, it feels like something big is blooming.

I had all that full colored portraits on my mind since a long time ago and I don´t know what happened but in the blink of an eye they start flowing and I have more already done!!

I`ll share them in future posts.

Dear Universe I`m listening

...to the call of my wild soul

Last week I received my Kelly Rae Roberts 2013 Callendar , my goodness! 

I can´t believe how lovely it is.

I show it to one of my best friends and we stop some time to some sort of "analize" her art, she didn´t knew Kelly's art and she fall in love at first sight.

We spend some time talking about the quotes on her art...so moving and profund, her faces and papers, so much to look.

In some part of the chat we ask each other what does Kelly`s art had that people love it so much? ...and we arrived to this conclutions:

1. Because her art is full of meaning and hearted messages, you can see her soul through it.
2. Because she is consistent, she works, she knows what she wants.

This chat made me think about my art and what is missing, and I discovered a pattern.

Every time I start a new piece of art I have an intention, hope you know what I´m talking about, there`s always a quote there in my mind like a mantra, but here comes the pattern, every time I finish the piece i´m afraid that the quote will ruin it, I`m afraid about my bad handwriting, about the aesthetics of the whole piece and lots of other excuses.

What I realize is that every time I don´t put that quote where is meant to be I`m stealing some part of the piece soul, there`s some part of the message I`m keeping for me and that doesn´t goes into the world.

I decided I want to breack this pattern, so spect more quotes on my art :-) No more excuses!

The joy of give and receive art

Some weeks ago the lovely Cary Scholes ask me to be part of her awesome art journal and I have to say I was super excited and anxious waiting the mail since she wrote me telling the journal was on flight to Argentina♥

THE JOURNAL ARRIVE:

It was Wednesday evening before dark and I was with a group of spoiled students (believe me they`re spoiled by this teacher...I usually receive them with the most nice blend of tea and sometimes with fresh orange and apple juice I personally do).

I was at the kitchen doing some juice and one of the girls shouted:

Guada! you have mail under your door! and it`s a lovely envelope!!

I knew it was Cary`s journal so I had to stop the class and open the envelope with all my girls around :)

...and I was so thrilled, so much art and love on that pages, it was a blast!

THE ART:

I was amazed by Diana`s yummy colours and sparkle art! her mermaid was so cute and soft. Love it♥

Julliette`s Crane work was also there!! since I`m a great fan of her art being able to see it on live was an extra bonus :) Her owls are so cute and tender...so moving.

CARY`S ART AND SOUL...

Cary not only trusted and sent me her art journal but she also sent me her sweet art.

Cary`s gift 2. Art heals...no other words will be more right for me. Thank you  Cary !

MY ART FOR CARY:

Since Cary told me the journal was on travel I knew I`ll be doing one of my Mandalas for her, she didn´t ask for nothing special she just wrote: When it comes, you can do a one page or two page spread, whatever you wish or makes you happy!

So...ok if you give me space girl i`ll certainly use it :) and that spread of almost three pages made me very happy (by the way...the paper was superb! and the funny thing is that some days ago I discovered I have some at home but I had forget it).

All the art was done in just three days and since the minute I started until I finish it that quote was on my mind like a Mantra : 

You are perfect, You are Unique, You are Loved.

I knew that mesage wasn´t just for me so I pass it to her journal...like I love to say to my students

 "we are just the messenger, just empty yourself and let the real things remain"

I don´t know Cary a lot and of course I haven`t meet her in live, at least not in this life ;)

 I don´t know where she lives or if she has a dog or a cat...? lol

but I had a blink of her soul in her art and I know there`s a new friend crossing the ocean and I spect sometime my dear Universe allowes me to hold each other on a big hug♥

Please remember: Your Art is the prove of the sparkle of God you are.

What`s on my desk today

A few days ago I came across with the incredible artist Peter Mitchev.

His work came to me through Sharon Tomlinson`s A Diary of Faces class (wich indeed is a great class!).

I inmediatly fall in love with his work, I adore the intimacy of his characters, they really talk to me.

So I was inspired and started what`s on my desk today♥

My first step was the background, I choose three different cloths with different patterns and glue them to my canvas. I really like to paint over cheap cotton cloth, paint works great there.

I apply a soft layer of gesso to soften the pattern of the cloth and started working on the characters.

I was inspired to paint a maternity but I think the right side face must have been smaller to really look like a child...

For the blanket that covers the characters I used pieces of scrap papers and paint the joints with acrylic.

Then I added acrylics to the background to disguise the cloth.

It isn`t finished yet but I`m pretty happy with how`s working :)

Music from my soul

Some years ago when I discovered my inner artist something amazing happened, I discovered I am a mix media artist but also a singer.

It`s funny how the Universe works, I`ve always loved singing but never realize how good I was :)

I just wanted to let my voice flow, to sing from my soul.

I was blessed at that time Andres Saggio came to my life in the most amazing way. His talent, his voice but most of all he`s kindness made magic in my life.

I studied overtone singing with him and that was a revealing and healing process I`ll always treasure.

Here`s Andres in his studio, I adore that place...it`s like a sanctuary for me

After that I studied Indian music with Carolina Chrem...another special soul.

So so so talented!! and so generous, her voice is a caressing for the soul.

this one is my favorite mantra from Carolina....so moving isn`t it?

I`ll always feel blesed for being their student and friend.

The Age of Love

The New Age is here, can you feel it?
I have to say that the last time some knocks had made me stumble...or maybe I was like ancient tree roots hidden in that dark and warm place where to nurture ourselves.
The truth is that since last night I can´t stop feeling the Love.

Don´t ask me what happened because I won´t be able to explain it, don´t ask me how was it because I don´t have a clear register, but I can tell you that this Mandala of Compassion was made in the dawn of 11.11.11 and since then I can´t stop feeling the Love and compassion.
Yesterday all was doubt, today all is something more than certain...today all is Faith
Faith in Everything
Faith in You
Faith in My Self
Faith en We as the Body of Evolution
...I write this moved and full of Love.
Times for the brave ones are comming...times for those who tolerates living in Love, who accept feeling without explainig, touching without asking our selves, looking into the eyes without being ashamed.
...this are times in wich I want to Live!

Female times are arriving where we have to stop DOING and start FEELING.

What a challenge, isn´t it? we´d lived all our human existence trying to understand and just now we realize The Secret is to feel and not to think, the key is to trust without conditioning.

Today I have some answers that yesterday I didn´t had and was looking since months ago, that answers came from feeling and letting this Mandala express itself.
