The absence of color and my new Mandala

Working just in black and white it opens us to new creative resourses, it makes us work hard in finding new textures and blendings.

I totally L♥ved working on this new Mandala and guess what? yesss!! there´s a video too!!

29 Faces in May and lots of news!

Hello everyone!
I know, I know...it has been a lifetime since I did my last post here, but I´m back!!
The news are that I´ve join the 29 Faces in May challenge by Ayala DeHarris and I´m having such a good time there!!
Did you already join?..if you didn´t you have to jump in there.
It´s a great opportunity to challenge yourself and sketch, draw or paint every day a new face.

Here are mines until now:

Day 1: The quote says "Live one day at a time"

I used watersoluble crayons, white acrylic and watercolor pencils

and I did a video of this one too!

Day 2:

This one is still in process...I don´t know why I didn´t finish it yet

I used gesso for the background (it´s an altered book) and Tombow marquers

Day 3:

Sketch with pencil

Day 4:

Sketch with pencil

Day 5: You are Unique

Collage over canvas. I used acrylics and some pitt marquers for the flowers and add the quote with photoshop ;)

I think I need to improve my skills in painting faces so I´ll try to do more painting, what do you think?

Creating wonderful backgrounds for tags, cards, Mandalas, etc

Suplies for this week: Gesso, Acrylics, Brayer, any kind of Stamps.

If you don´t have stamps I´ll give you some ideas to replace them, don´t worry.

♥After this week we break for Christmas and begin again on January 4th.♥

Week 2: January 4th

Making a mixed media background for a Mandala design and applying layers of geometry

Suplies for this week: Acrylics, Watercolour pencils, Pens (I use Faber Castell PITT pen), Square, Compass, Blending stump

Week 3: January 11th

Including characters in your Mandalas. Mixed Media background

Suplies for this week: Acrylics, Watercolour pencils or crayons, Pastels, Pen, Square, Compass, Blending stump

Weeks 4 and 5: January 18th and 25th

Including animals in your Mandalas. Mixed Media background

Suplies for this week: Acrylics, Pen, Square, Compass

During the class I´m going to show you first how to create this kind of textured backgrounds and next how to use them for your Mandalas or other art work

The Age of Love

The New Age is here, can you feel it?
I have to say that the last time some knocks had made me stumble...or maybe I was like ancient tree roots hidden in that dark and warm place where to nurture ourselves.
The truth is that since last night I can´t stop feeling the Love.

Don´t ask me what happened because I won´t be able to explain it, don´t ask me how was it because I don´t have a clear register, but I can tell you that this Mandala of Compassion was made in the dawn of 11.11.11 and since then I can´t stop feeling the Love and compassion.
Yesterday all was doubt, today all is something more than certain...today all is Faith
Faith in Everything
Faith in You
Faith in My Self
Faith en We as the Body of Evolution
...I write this moved and full of Love.
Times for the brave ones are comming...times for those who tolerates living in Love, who accept feeling without explainig, touching without asking our selves, looking into the eyes without being ashamed.
...this are times in wich I want to Live!

Female times are arriving where we have to stop DOING and start FEELING.

What a challenge, isn´t it? we´d lived all our human existence trying to understand and just now we realize The Secret is to feel and not to think, the key is to trust without conditioning.

Today I have some answers that yesterday I didn´t had and was looking since months ago, that answers came from feeling and letting this Mandala express itself.
I appreciate your visit to my virtual spot.

A class to introduce and teach you how to do great Mandalas from a simple template :)

- What will the Mandala FREE Class cover?

Description of the Class:

Week 1: Working with templates, learning how to transform a basic template into your own design. Basic painting.

Week 2: How to draw a basic template. Painting and blending.

Week 3: Drawing, painting and doodling a Mandala puting together all what you´ve learned.

we´ll be going from a template like this

to beautiful Mandala like this one!

This is just an example, will be using another template with other results :)

- What will you need for this class?

Supplies for the class

Watercolor paper: As I Live in Argentina I´m using Fabriano, Caran d´Ache or Canson watercolour paper, you can use any brand you like or are used to.
Watercolor pencils: I use Caran d´Ache supracolor soft and Derwent Inktense, but you can use any other brands.
A regular square

A Compass

Black pen for doodling: I use Faber Castell PITT pens, you can use any other brand just keep in mind it has to be a very thin one.
You will also need to print the templates, they will be available once the class starts.
Optional: stamps, ink pads.
